Metro3D announces Threat Con Delta

Metro3D, Inc., the international video game developer and publisher today announced a new awe-inspiring title to its 2003 product line-up, Threat Con Delta exclusively for the Sony PlayStation(R) 2 game console. Threat Con Delta is a high-intensity action and strategy shooter with all the elements of a 21st Century war game. Developed by ASK Studios based in Japan, Threat Con Delta is scheduled to hit store shelves in November 2003.

"Threat Con Delta is a fantastic addition to Metro3D's library of titles scheduled for release Q4 2003 and will appeal to enthusiasts who love action and smart combat strategy," said Joseph Morici, senior vice president, sales and marketing, Metro3D. "Broadening our depth of offerings for the ever- popular PlayStation 2 game console, Threat Con Delta pushes the war game category to a new level where traditional war strategies meet modern day guerilla warfare and terrorism."

Threat Con Delta captures all the surrealism of warfare in modern history, where terrorists attempt to take over the world and players must fight to defend their homeland from evil mayhem and destruction. Players select from one of several realistic precision-detailed attack helicopters, each equipped with their own deadly arsenal of weapons to dominate the battlefield and inflict massive damage upon their terrorist enemies.

Threat Con Delta intertwines a multitude of mission objectives, each loaded with numerous sub-missions to immerse players in a suspenseful web of conflict and war combat, where they must overpower armed enemy forces, and survive heavy attack. Strategy also is a key component to the game as players have a variety of ways to finish each level objective, giving freedom to utilize tactics which best suit their game play style. Players can also sneak up on attacks by taking advantage of each level’s terrain and huge, expansive interactive environments, which play an important part in determining the best approach for finishing levels.

This adrenaline-fueled action adventure features highly destructible buildings and other explosive objects that are encountered within each mission level. Each precision-detailed helicopter allows players to shoot dangerous targets, avoid heat-seeking missile strikes and other treacherous artillery fire, which buzzes past their chopper at every turn. Impressive visual effects and outstanding graphics also complement and enhance the game’s super-realistic warfare look and feel.
