Konami ships Firefighter F.D. 18 for PlayStation 2

Konami Digital Entertainment America has announced the shipping of Firefighter F.D. 18 to retail outlets nationwide today. Players will investigate mysterious eruptions of fire around the fictional metropolis of Port Serena while experiencing the tension of battling real-life infernos in this “ultimate firefighting game.”

Players will aid firefighter Dean McGregor in his efforts of toppling a serial arsonist that has taken a macabre liking to setting the city of Port Serena ablaze. McGregor will bravely launch himself headlong into the midst of devilishly hot fires that present such obstacles as smoke, gas, explosive chemicals, and environmental dangers. Players will utilize a variety of firefighting equipment -- anything from water hoses to the IFEX impulse gun.

Mixed in amidst the cast of characters is the exuberant TV reporter Emilie Arvin, a reporter nosing around for the scoop on the crimes, and Jason Hunt, a shady research worker for Cyclone Networks that may possess more knowledge about the fires than he lets off.

Firefighter F.D. 18 is rated “T” for Teen by the Entertainment Software Association and is priced at an MSRP of $39.99. Visit the official website for complete details.
