Resident Evil Outbreak arrives in North America

Capcom announced today that the North American version of Resident Evil Outbreak will be available at retail outlets on April 1, 2004. Outbreak, which is exclusive to the PlayStation 2, is the first Resident Evil title to offer online gameplay. Players can experience the game by themselves or play with 4 other people online in the co-op mode. In order to increase the chances of surviving, each person can share health packs and ammo with one another, as well as help each other reach difficult areas.

Resident Evil Outbreak is rated "M" for Mature and will carry a SRP of $49.99.
