La Pucelle: Tactics reaches gold status

Mastiff announced today that Nippon Ichi Software Inc’s tactical RPG, La Pucelle: Tactics, has gone gold. The game is expected to ship in early May 2004. Nippon Ichi Software also developed Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, which was released in North America last August. La Pucelle: Tactics, an exclusive title developed for the PlayStation 2, will use a similar battle system.

La Pucelle: Tactics also features over 100 hours worth of gameplay, multiple endings, hand drawn backgrounds, a fast leveling system, and the ability to damage multiple enemies at once and stop new ones from appearing. All in all, La Pucelle: Tactics is said to offer a deeper experience than Disgaea: Hour of Darkness.

Mastiff also announced that the official La Pucelle: Tactics web site has launched. We'll have more information at a later date.
