YouTube App Arrives on PS4
A YouTube app has finally landed on the PlayStation 4 almost one full year since the device hit North American shelves. It is one of many new features included in the PlayStation 4's 2.00 firmware update, which is the largest PS4 software update since April 2014.
After downloading the app from the PlayStation Store, users can edit and upload their gameplay footage directly to the popular video web site by simply pressing the share button on their DualShock 4 controller.
The app also allows you to watch YouTube videos in HD on your PS4. It is unknown if the PS4 YouTube app will ever allow people to watch in 4K video resolution in a future update. Such functionality may help Sony sell more 4K HDTVs, so let's hope they give it serious consideration.
