September 16, 2002 Update

More XXX Gaming

Those nude pix from BMX XXX were great. Got any more?

Matt: No, but here are 3 out of the 8 controversial pics from the Japanese version of Bloody Roar 3 on the PlayStation 2. There isn't any nudity, but I still had to censor them. Yeah, I know it's just polygons, but I don't want to upset anyone. If you really, really want the uncensored versions, e-mail me.

Update: I'm tired of all of the friggin' e-mails I have recieved so far regarding the BR3 pictures, so I will just go ahead and post them on my crappy Angelfire server I used before I got my domain name. Uncensored Bloody Roar 3 Page

SOCOM Level Select

Matt, do you know if their is anyway to go back and play levels that you have already beaten in S.O.C.O.M.? Thanks

Matt: You have to beat the game several times to unlock the level select mode.

Breaks like a toothpick

I was reading on another web site that the creator of Resident Evil went off on Sony for desiging the Plastation 2 very poorly and purposely made it break easily so that people would be forced to buy new ones or send it in to Sony for repairs. Now, I usually don't believe stuff like this in message boards, but this is a popular game designer so I assume that it is true. What do you think?

Matt: Well, I don't think that SCEI purposely designed the PS2 poorly. The problem is that console gamers aren't willing to shell out $2,000 for 1337 gaming PC's, so they have to make the PS2 affordable. One way to do this is to use cheaper parts. I'm not saying that the parts inside the PS2 are crappy, they just aren't the highest quality. As a result, the system tends to break easily. For example, look how flimsy the CD tray is! If you're not careful, you can snap it right off!

The PSX also did this because Sony used rather cheap parts for the lens that read the disc and eventually the track that the lens runs on would wear out. As you might recall, turning the unit upside down fixed the problem for a while but that would wear out the other side of the track as well.

Dino Stalker

can Dino Stalker be played with a regular ps2 controller or do you need the light gun?

Matt: You can use a typical Dual Shock 2, but it makes the game too cumbersome. Use a Guncon 2 for the best experience.

PlayStation 9

Whats up with this I've been hearing about PlayStation 9? How many bits will it have?

Matt: Have I slipped into a coma without knowing it? Is the year 2020? If not, why does this guy think I know how many bits the PS9 will have? Sony doesn't even know that.

SOCOM Strategy Guide

hi matt. where is that socom strategy guide that you promised? im having some trouble on the level where you have to save mr. pickles. thanks.

Matt: I didn't finish my SOCOM guide because the game is pretty straight forward. The single player mode requires some planning, but it is still fairly easy (well, the first time through is). And the tips that I had for the online mode were too obvious. If you haven't figured out that you're not supposed to run around in the open, you really shouldn't be playing video games.

As for the level with Mr. Pickles, use some smoke grenades to mask your movement from the helicopter. Then run all the way to the end of the level. Or if you're really hardcore, just bust out your most powerful gun and keep blasting away until you destroy it.

Stuntman Clone

Hey. I'm one of the few people who loved the game Stuntman. I've had the game since it came out and I still play with it at least once a week. Well I was browsing around the net and I found a Stuntman like game called Chase Hollywood Stunt Driver. From what I saw, it is being made for the X-Box. Any word on a PS2 version? Thank you for your time.

Matt: BAM! Entertainment informed me about that game a couple months ago, but as I was gathering infomation for a preview, I realized that it was only coming to the Xbox. On the good side, Reflections will probably make a sequel to Stuntman after it is done with Driver 3, so look out for it.

Vice City

I have a question about Grand Theft Auto Vice City. Will it have a two player mode or just the same old one player mode? Please reply back to me. Thanks.

Matt: Its just a single player game.

Lazy Mofos

When is Ratchet and Clank coming out?

Matt: Believe it or not, but I still recieve questions like these when I clearly have a release date section. AOL users will never cease to amaze me.

??????

How do I get pass mission 16? Can you help me?

Matt: And then there is this guy, who never tells me which game he wants help with. Apparently he thinks I'm psychic.

Game Fan Art

Sup. Just wanted to know if you take fan art submissions for the game babes section. Later

Matt: Usually, the answer is "no" because lets face it -- there is a lot of crappy artwork out there. And I don't want to fill my server with lame art and crap. Also, I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings if I reject their submission. But if you truly think you have a nice piece of CG art for the game babes section, feel free to send it and I may consider posting it.
