1. What's up with name of this website? Sounds kinda strange. After I redesigned the site back in 1999, I decided to put a "2" after the title to represent the version number. When the site was redesigned again, I didn't add a "3" because people might think that this was just a PlayStation 3 rumor site or something. Now it's called PlayStation Pro 2.0. When the PlayStation 3 is revealed, I will open a new site titled "PlayStation 3 Pro". 2. What makes you different from other PS2 web sites? This is one of the longest running PlayStation sites on the net (we've been around since 1997. Also, unlike most of the PlayStation 2 sites on the net, PlayStation Pro 2.0 is hosted on its own dedicated servers. The only other sites we host are www.playstation3pro.com, www.psp-codes.com, www.filepulse.com, www.matt-chin.com, and a small personal web site for my friend. Because of this, we are able to offer FREE 150+ MB files and chances are, you will max out your internet connection when you download from us. 3. How can I support PlayStation Pro 2.0? A. Simply continue to visit our web site and tell your friends about us. B. Purchase stuff from our sponsor, Lik-Sang. They accept PayPal, so no credit card is needed. C. Purchase stuff from our own store. D. Disable your pop-up blocker program when viewing my site. I know pop-ups are annoying, but they really help us out. If you enable cookies, then pop-ups will appear less frequently. 4. Can I borrow content from PlayStation Pro 2.0? No! If you steal my stuff on post it on Angelfire or Geocities, I will get your site shut down. If you have your own domain name, I can find your home address and phone number. The good news is that you can take the midi files and crap from the game lyrics section. That's about it. 5. How come you don't add more MP3 songs? That's not the point of this site. We have a small selection on purpose. We believe that you should go out and buy the actual soundtrack CD yourself. 6. I posted one of your movies on a message board and the link won't work anymore. No one is allowed to download links off of this site without permission. Please link to the page, not directly to the file. 7. Do you have anything to do with PlayStation Pro Magazine in the UK? No. I saw the magazine while I was in Europe on vacation, but this was after this site was created. 8. How long have you been doing this [website]? Since 1997. I've wanted to be a game journalist since I was 8. The internet was the perfect way to get started after my school forced us to take HTML classes in 7th grade. 9. Why do you review some games so harshly? I don't. My policy is to not give a game a score until I have played it for at least 10 hours. If I scored it during my initial impressions - games like The Bouncer, Midnight Club II, and more would have gotten at least a "9" from me. Any game can provide enjoyment for the first 2 hours or so, but it's difficult to make it last 10 or more hours. Only games like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Final Fantasy X, Gran Turismo 3, Metal Gear Solid 2, and Xenosaga can do this -- so they have gotten the high scores that they deserve. 10. Why are some of the code pages on Angelfire? Because some of the pages on my site used to be hosted on Angelfire. It would take too long to transfer them to my new domain. 11. What do you use to edit this site? NotePad. I've known HTML for about 8 years now so I don't need any of those editor programs. I'm just not good with graphics. 12. How long does it take you to write a review? It takes me about 3-4 hours. If the game has been out for a while on another platform (i.e. Half-Life, No One Lives Forever), I usually don't write as much. 13. What is your ID name for [insert online PS2 game here]? It varies from game to game. If you want to play an online game with me, just ask. 14. What are your plans for the web site? I am working on finishing up the DVD section. 15. When are you going to start posting game movies and stuff?
I already started. Click here 16. Why don't you have message boards on your site? To be honest, I find gaming forums to be very annoying. Some people create some very stupid threads. And don't get me started about the rumors and random B.S. people spread. A lot of gaming forums also steal our content and don't even bother to link back. I just don't like gaming related forums. 17. How many visitors do you get each day? Over 5,000 unique visitors. 18. How many e-mails do you get each day? Depends. I used to get 15-20 e-mails a day. When I added the new "contact me" page, it went down to 10 per day, because some people are afraid to e-mail me now. They don't want me making fun of them in the mailbag section. 19. Why are some of the codes located on pages that have completely white backgrounds? So that it is easier to print out. Why else would I do that? 20. How often is the newsletter sent out? There is no set date when it gets sent out. I usually just do it to make important announcements. 21. Do you know the guys at Penny Aracade? They live 45 minutes from me, but I haven't met them. 22. You sure know a lot about PlayStation. Are you just some fat guy who lives in his basement and plays games all day? No, I'm actually quite skinny. And no, I don't play games all day. 23. If your site has been around for six years, how come I don't see reviews from way back then? I deleted them. Our first reviews were terrible. You can still find them if you look through some internet archives.... 24. How much bandwidth does this site use per month? 700 GB. 25. Do you work at a game store? If not, what is your currnet job? I used to. I am a college student and this web site is my current occupation. 26. Can you translate some Japanese text for me? Probably not. I can currently only read words in Katakana (the blocky looking letters) and a little Hiragana (the curvy one). So, I can usually read game menus and such. If you have no one else to turn to, let me know and I will try my best.
