Rainbow Six 3 is set to storm PS2s in March
January 5, 2004
Ubi Soft's Rainbow Six 3, developed by Ubi Soft’s Shanghai Studio, has been slated for a March debut. The PlayStation 2 edition will feature numerous modes and options missing in action in the Xbox version released last year.
"The Tom Clancy brand represents one of the best-selling videogame franchises ever, and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 is already a runaway success on PC and Xbox. We expect a repeat performance," said Florence Alibert, marketing director for Ubisoft Europe, Middle-East and Asia. "Thrilling and realistic single and multi-player gameplay, intelligent AI, stunning graphics and an amazing real-time voice command system are combined to deliver the best counter-terrorist gaming experience on the market. Period."
Among the exclusive features for the PS2 are an additional mission to the original campaign, extra multiplayer maps, a new two-player split screen cooperative mode, and voice command technology for players with headsets, allowing communication for campaign missions or in opposing gameplay.
