Activision signs Slipknot for Mototrax soundtrack

February 19, 2004

Activision and multi-platinum selling artist Slipknot have agreed on a deal that will have MTX: Mototrax featuring a few of the band’s new tracks. The heavy metal group’s track “Don’t Get Close” will debut on the game, which is slated for a March 3 release. Slipknot will also lend the game a never-before-heard instrumental rendition of “Don’t Get Close” and their mega hit “Wait and Bleed” from the first album.

MTX: Mototrax will also include a three minute video and a secret character and bike designed by the band. A special cheat code to unlock the character and bike will be released on the band’s upcoming album set to be released in May.

Mototrax’s soundtrack will blare 23 vocal tracks and 13 instrumental tracks fresh from the industry’s most popular metal and punk talent, as well as some work from the underground sound of lesser known talent. Players can choose to have either an instrumental soundtrack, a vocal soundtrack, or a combination of the two.
