MLB SlugFest 20-04 By: Matt C. on February 1, 2003 Out of all of the baseball games released last year on the PlayStation 2, MLB SlugFest 20-03 outsold them all. SlugFest 20-03 offered stunning animations and action packed gameplay that allowed anyone to jump right into the game and have fun. Although SlugFest was never meant to be a deep simulation game like World Series Baseball 2K3, many people still complained about the lack of modes and features that could be found in other next-generation baseball titles. With MLB SlugFest 20-04, Midway intends on maintaining the award-winning formula from last year's game while still adding on to it. For example, there will be a new create-a-team mode. All 30 real-life MLB teams are available, but if you prefer to create your own custom team, you are free to do so. Also new this year is a home run derby mode. Another feature worth mentioning is customizable instant replays, which was strangely missing from the previous game. In addition, Midway is giving all of the team rosters a boast with 20 players on each team. Last year's edition only had about 12 players per team. Plenty of new stadium will be included too. As for the commentary, the extremely funny Tim Kitzrow and Jimmy Shorts (Kevin Matthews) will return with all new dialogue in SlugFest 20-04. We'll have more info and screenshots from MLB SlugFest 20-04 very soon. |
