Splinter Cell (PS2) By: Matt C. on February 4, 2003 Ubi Soft announced yesterday that several new additions have been made to the PlayStation 2 version of Splinter Cell. The game will feature four new exclusive levels in the powerplant mission, 30 minutes of new cinematics and an all new four minute cinematic intro including music recorded specifically for Splinter Cell by the Prague Orchestra. In addition, new gadgets will be added to the game, including a binocular-vision headset and night/thermal vision goggles. The PlayStation 2 version of Splinter Cell will also support Dolby Pro Logic II. As for the graphics, Ubi Soft promises that Splinter Cell will be one of the best looking PS2 games to date. Thats all for now. Check out the brand-new screenshots below (screenshot # 6, 7, 8, and 9). January 14, 2002 Good news. Ubi Soft released some screenshots of Splinter Cell running on the PlayStation 2 yesterday. To be honest, I didn't think the PlayStation 2 hardware could do the game justice when compared to the stunning Xbox version. However, judging by the screens below, the PlayStation 2 version shouldn't be too far behind the Xbox one in terms of graphics when the game is released this April. I'll have actual information on Splinter Cell for the PS2 at a later date, but in the meantime, please enjoy the screenshots below.
