World Series Baseball 2K3 By: Matt C. on October 26, 2002 SEGA of America, Inc. officially announced yesterday the upcoming release of World Series Baseball 2K3 for the PlayStation 2. Slated for a March 2003 release date, World Series Baseball 2K3 will be produced by Visual Concepts Entertainment, a SEGA development studio, and developed by Blue Shift Inc. Some of the new gameplay enhancements that will be in World Series Baseball 2K3 include a new jump button that will allow home-run robbing jumps at the wall, dramatic running grabs in the outfield, user-controlled leadoffs and power swings, silky smooth double play and relay animations, offline throws, classic ballparks and a behind-the-pitcher cam that will bring a new perspective to the game. The Franchise Mode will be deeper than ever with the ability to play an unlimited number of seasons. Users can also assemble a full coaching staff by selecting from a pool of managers, batting and pitching coaches, Minor League directors and scouts. In addition to the Franchise Mode, WSB 2K3 will also include modes such as Exhibition, Big League Challenge, Season, Playoffs and the SEGA Sports Challenge. The SEGA Sports Challenge allows fans to compare their offline stats against other players nationwide on Segasports.com. World Series Baseball 2K3 is endorsed by the New York Yankees All-Star First Baseman Jason Giambi. I'll have more information on WSB 2K3 once Sega sends it to me. |
