Credits and licenses
To get a head start when you first get Gran Turismo 4, load up a game save from Gran Turismo 3 or Gran Turismo 4 Prologue and you will start with 100,000 credits and some previously earned licenses. One place to load a GT3 save is from your garage.

License Test Help
To get a Blue (acceleration) and Red (brakes) Licence Test Guide simply push R3 during the beginning of the test. It shows you the best route to go and where to start braking. This only works on the B and A license tests and tests where there is no pace car.
Faster replays:
Press L3 during a replay.
No replay music:
Press Circle during a replay.
Stop scrolling text:
At any point that you see scrolling text at the bottom of the screen (at the main menu or when buying parts for your vehicle), press L3 to stop the text from scrolling.
Jump directly to car manufacturer:
From the main menu (where you garage is located) press L1 or R1 to go directly to the car manufacturer for the car that you are currently in.
Remain in current gear with automatic transmissions:
When racing with an automatic transmission, hold R2 to force the car to remain in the current gear. Release R2 when the small red light to change gears flashes or the car will not change gears.
Toggle ghost racer:
The ghost car can be annoying and block your view. To toggle it on and off, press up on the d-pad.
