13.5 Million PS4s Sold Worldwide
Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that worldwide sales of the PlayStation 4 has exceeded expectations with 13.5 million units sold across the globe. 3.3 million of those units were purchased during July to September of this year.
Sales for the PlayStation Vita, PlayStation TV, and PlayStation Portable only topped out at 700,000 units combined during the same July to September quarter.
Despite recently improved functionality with the PS4 and the introduction of the PlayStation TV for people who would prefer to play Vita games on an HDTV (at a very affordable $99 price), the Vita brand continues to struggle for Sony.
